Iran beaten by Brazil at 2024 VNL

TEHRAN – Iran fell short to Brazil 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 25-23) on Thursday in Week 2 of 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) underway in Fukuoka, Japan.
Iran’s Amin Esmaeilnezhad scored 24 points, while Alan Souza collected 20 points for Brazil.
Iran, who had kicked off the campaign with a 3-0 loss against Japan 3-0, are scheduled to face Bulgaria on Friday.
The VNL Preliminary Phase features three competition weeks per gender, with each of the 16 teams playing 12 matches. The seven best-ranked national teams in the Preliminary Phase will join hosts Poland for the Finals, which will be held in Lodz from June 27 to 30.
